Why We Don’t Use Google Maps or Rely on Online Reviews
After over 20 years of experience and more than 15 successful retail concepts, our company has made a deliberate choice not to use Google Maps or similar platforms. While this may seem unusual to those outside the industry, the reason is simple: Google does not comply with certain legal standards required under Dutch law, particularly regarding moderation of false or inappropriate reviews.
Our businesses are visited by thousands of clients throughout the city every month. In this part of The Hague alone, we operate three of the most prominent concepts at premium locations. As part of our internal policy, if an individual is denied entry to one of our businesses—whether a smart shop, a sports nutrition store, or one of our catering locations—they are also denied access to our other establishments. This is a matter of safety, consistency, and protecting the quality of experience for all our guests.
To avoid rude or insulting remarks and fake reviews online, we have created our own platform for feedback and concerns. While many companies ask customers to leave positive reviews to build an image of success, we believe success should speak for itself. For years, we’ve grown by excelling across multiple industries, not through simple marketing tactics. Our reputation is well-known among fellow business owners, Our dear, valued customers and our strong network of top distributors in the region.
Complaint & Return Policy:
To handle any form of complaint, we offer internal steplines. Our stores are visited by thousands of satisfied clients every month. Especially at prime locations, where the rents are the highest in the country, it could not be any other way. If a company can stay open at these locations, it is only possible by having a large clientele.
That being said, and considering the thousands of clients visiting our stores every month, even if 99% are satisfied, something could always go wrong. Staff might be too busy to assist you within a few minutes, or a product may not meet your expectations, or there could be rules in our stores that you may have questions about.
For all these cases, we have internal guidelines that help us deliver your complaint to the right person, without allowing individuals to openly target staff members who cannot defend themselves. You can be sure that we will speak to our staff members and review video footage before we contact you.
If you have any complaints about our service at any of our stores, want to return a product, or are not satisfied with a purchase, you may fill out a form in the store. Our colleagues will be more than happy to assist you with this. At the bottom section of the form, you can write your complaint in detail and drop it into a designated mailbox in the store, which is only accessible by the managers, so the staff will not be able to see the contents of your complaint.
One of the managers will then contact you within two working days to resolve any issues you may have.
